Chances 33.3% for Greece to leave the Eurozone – S&P
The international rating agency Standard & Poor's (S&P) has estimated chances of Greece to leave the Eurozone in the nearest few months. According to analysts, this will happen with a probability of 1/3 – that is, 33.3%.

Foreign banks struggling to get access to non-existing Russian depository
The ongoing discussions on whether foreign companies should be allowed to work directly with the Russian Central Depository are taking too long. Meanwhile, it is very probable that by the 1 July, when foreign depositories are – in theory - granted a right for such cooperation, they won’t find anybody to cooperate with.
On 31 May 2012 the IFRS Interpretations Committee, responsible, in co-operation with the IASB, for developing amendments and Interpretations of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs), published for public comment proposed guidance on the accounting for levies charged by public authorities on entities that operate in a specific market.
Report from recent IFASS meeting released
The International Forum of Accounting Standards Setters (IFASS) met in Kuala Lumpur on 29-30 March 2012. A detailed report of proceedings at the meeting has now been released, outlining discussions on numerous topics such as the relationship between standard setters and the IASB, the IASB's work programme and processes, and a report on the possible adoption of IFRS in the United States noting a possible "step back".
Financial Accounting Foundation issues request for nominations for new Private Company Council
The Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) Board of Trustees today issued a request for nominations for candidates to serve on the Private Company Council (PCC). The deadline to submit nominees for PCC members and the PCC chair is June 30, 2012.
GASB final pronouncements are now available as free downloads
Effective immediately, final Statements and certain other pronouncements issued by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) are available for downloading at no cost on the GASB website (www.gasb.org), the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) announced today. Documents available will include GASB Statements, Concept Statements, Interpretations, and Technical Bulletins.
Crisis will come to Russia from Spain

Russian tax inspectors won’t bother with revenues less than 1 million roubles
Tax inspections should lower the amount of field checks yielding less than 1 million roubles: those are just not profitable, “benefits smaller than costs”. This follows from the report by the Federal Tax Service’s deputy Svetlana Andryushenko which was made at the closed videoconference for the FTS’ regional branches.
Auditors must be held to account
Shareholder spring is in the air, with increasing numbers voting against fat-cat executive rewards for failure and mediocre performance. However, the same scrutiny is not being applied to the business advisers and consultants implicated in headline failures. They continue to receive huge financial rewards. Company auditors are good example.
