ECB will continue to pump liquidity into the financial system
The European Central Bank will still give credits to banks in 2011 - the ECB’s chair Jean-Claude Trichet informed today. Also, quite expectedly the regulator decided to leave the interest rate at the same level of 1%.
Simplified taxation in Ukraine will stay the same
The government of Ukraine came to an agreement with protesting entrepreneurs, leaving the simplified taxation regime the same as it was before approval of the new Tax Code. The provision is stipulated in the Memorandum which was signed between the government’s working group and representatives of small businesses on simplified taxation.

Profession faces unexpected dangers across the globe
Middle-aged accountant David Adams perhaps assumed he was in a safe profession, but the two bullet wounds to his leg suggested otherwise. European Commission prolongs terms for anti-crisis support
The European Commission had decided to prolong state aid crisis framework – measures to support banks and companies - until 2011, at the same time tightening the requirements to receive it. New Tax Code will be finished under control of businesses
Looks like protests in Kiev yielded positive results for businesses which demanded the country’s president to use veto to the new Tax Code: today Viktor Yanukovych used his presidential right to veto the code. On that he informed in the international airport “Borispol” before his flight to Astana for the OCSE summit.
