The IFRS Foundation launched a tender to commission a group of valuators with a task to evaluate its intellectual property.
Minfin taking SWIFT under special control
The Ministry of Finance is taking the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT) under special control, preparing amendments to the law “On the national payments system”. According to the amendments being proposed, together with Bloomberg and Reuters, SWIFT will be recognized as a “service operator of a critically important infrastructure”.
IASB Chairman Hans Hoogervorst on dangers of ignoring unrealized income
Chairman of the International Accounting Standards Board Hans Hoogervorst delivered a speech recently at the IFRS conference in Tokyo. Malaysia decides on transition dates for its agricultural entities and real estate developers
The Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB) informed recently that its “transitioning entities” - which in this case means entities working in the agricultural sector and real estate development - would have to adopt new accounting standards (MFRS) starting from 1 January 2017.
IVSC proposes new valuation standard on derivatives
The International Valuation Standards Council has been working on valuation of derivative instruments for a long time already. Today it presents a draft version of its new guidance. This one is the second because the first draft is said to have been issued at the end of last year.

Disconnection from SWIFT is still a possibility, although for now European government authorities are discussing further limitations to the oil and gas sector of the economy and purchasing Russian federal bonds.
